Fairy Garden

What little girl doesn't love to get lost in their own imagination? Help them keep their imagination alive by creating an environment that shouts magic in every corner.
This month we have had a lot of stunning new products come through the doors of Bella Rose Boutique, and some have inspired us to put together our "Fairy Garden" room inspiration board.

For our "Fairy Garden" room we start with the new (1) Blue Bird Lantern, which could be accompanied by the (2) Aqua Pom Pom, or even Pink Pom Pom, or Lilac Pom Poms depending on your little fairy's favourite.
On the wall our bright bejewelled (3) Tree Canvas Print , hanging or shelved our (4) Large and Small Birdhouses are a colourful, eye catching addition.
Of course there has to be a magical (5) Little Fairy Door in Pink, other colours available are purple, blue and red. These little doors allow the fairies to come and go as they please through the night.
Every girl needs a tooth fairy, this (6) Kate Finn Pink Tooth Fairy will look after those precious little teeth until they can be exchanged for tiny treasures through the night!
The (10) Millie Frill Single Quilt Set is simply gorgeous, a mix of pink, yellow, blue and green ruffles it would be wonderfully matched with our new throw cushions, (7) Owls, (8) Home and (9) Butterfly.
Break up the colour with the all white beauty of these butterfly photo frames in (12) 8in x 10in and (11) 5in x 7in.
These oversized felt Toadstools are the ultimate "Fairy Garden" addition, you can purchase them separately or as a set, they are also available in red, they are soft and add a dash of whimsy to the room.
Last but not in the least is our little Fairy Box Set from Tiger Tribe, complete with boy and girl fairy, bed, hammock, toadstool table and chairs, swan, slippery dip and stairs is the perfect fairy house!

Jungle Fever

This gorgeous Jungle Cot Quilt is now in store, with matching bunting and cushion - that I cannot wait to set up right next to the Jungle Bookends we have from Bobbleart!

What if we had a whole room to decorate you ask?

Well! For a BURST of yellow, an arrangement of Yellow Pom Poms,  Tiger Tribe Alphabet Wall Poster on the wall and our little Jungle Puzzle in natural wood, would make a great room accessory.

I would be adding in the owl lamp for lighting ($94.95), reversible giraffe knit blanket ($39.95), and Clancy Cot ($599.00), all available for order through Bella Rose Boutique - call (02) 4984 3233).

For the finishing touches, a feature wall of Harlequin - Rush, from justkidswallpaper.com and the stunning chevron rug in sage green, from My First Room

Ceiling Clusters of Pom Poms and Paper Lanterns

It's really easy to create amazing ceiling arrangements with tissue paper pom poms and paper lanterns. They seem to be the latest craze at the moment - always popping up on Pinterest and interior styling pages, now you can get the look by doing it yourself!
To start, select a range of lanterns and pom poms that bring out the colours of the room decor. Make sure you choose a few different sizes to give some variation.
In the below example I placed the biggest item ( large pink pom pom ) in the centre of your cluster, you will want this one to hang the lowest.
Next, place the second largest to each side, both about the same distance from the ceiling, the more items you add, the closer they should get to the ceiling. Repeat the process again if you have more items to hang, then with the smallest sized pom poms / lanterns fill in the empty spaces and place them as close to the ceiling as possible.
Remember with these clusters, you want each of the the pom poms / lanterns to be touching the others. You also need to make sure any view of the ceiling or hanging strings are covered up by the smallest pom poms / lanterns, this is what really brings the look together.
If you need help creating this look, just let us know, we sell all the pom poms and lanterns shown below. BRB xo

Bella's Toy Room

I am a lover of handmade,  something about the small quirky imperfections, and the 'labour or love' story that goes into every little piece. So when I had Bella I really wanted to accessorise her room and play areas with colourful, unique items and try to surround her with handmade love.
Since Christmas we have moved back into our house and it has been on the market, so when I am decorating Bella's room and play area we need to make it 'temporary'  but I still want it to be fun, imaginative and affordable.
BEFORE

We sell stunning big pastel coloured pom poms at the shop, so of course they are the perfect decoration, as the can be easily removed and relocated, and being so cheap, easy to replace (large $12.95 & small $6.95). So I started from this colour palette, light pink, hot pink, aqua, light blue and lilac. All our walls are completely white so colours like these really stand out! These are colours that are found all over B's toys too, so it should all work together like a hot mess! :)
I gathered a bunch of different frames from second hand shops and recyclers, then painted them the colours of the pom poms, perfect! Filled them with cute little prints and clustered them on the wall.
( I love clustered frames... so much, its a bit of an obsession.. )
PROGRESS:

I had also been eyeing off these cute cupcake decals at Bella Rose Boutique which coordinated beautifully with the colours of my pom poms & frames.  They also we fun to do with B, she got to stick on some hearts and learn the word "Cup - Kay".

I obviously needed storage in this room as all of B's toys were just scattered all over the floor - she loves having her toys at a reachable height when she is making breakfast on her breakfast tray or finding her favourite book. So I found this cheap little storage cube cupboard from Bunnings for $59! AND put it together MYSELF :) Hubby was too busy watching football but managed to help me "force" some of the pieces together ! The coloured fabric drawers can be found there as well for $12. It fits perfectly - if we move again I won't be sad to lose it if we have to cull down our furniture because its only a cheap one, but B can reach her toys and it had deep drawers to house those toys with a million pieces! Guess where those white storage tubs are from too... Bunnings!

Bella loves this little wooden house, you can take the roof off and inside are wooden pieces that fit through the holes in the roof, they are the perfect size for her little hands.

We also have plenty of suitcases as she is at an age where packing and unpacking bags/containers can go on for half an hour! Its also good for storing toys too.
Of course there is a Fairy Door but at this stage, only for decoration as B is only 1, and doesn't grasp the concept of Fairies. She would probably freak out if she thought little creatures were coming through this tiny door in the night hehe.

Hands down one of the favourites is her Breakfast Tray - we love pretending to drink tea and eat toast :)  Other toys have been picked up at the markets or directly from the makers etc. (to get that handmade look, and unique style)
We also moved our computer into the Toy Room, we can put on DVD's for her and supervise (as this room is right next to the loungeroom).  The patchwork horse is a hand - me - down from daddy!
I hope I haven't bored you with my novel! But any questions please let me know xx
